had my farewell meal at odeon tower - hanabi. a jap restaurant. it has both ala cart & ala cart buffet. only one word for the service - bad
when the waitress came to take our order for the drinks, she was damn rude. we were discussing what to have and she tapped our table and asked what drinks we wanted. i mean what kind of service is that?? even if you go hawker centres, those aunties / uncles taking orders won't do such thing right?
nvm, next we ordered our food. initially my coll and i ordered sashimi & tempura set meal that comes with rice. we asked the waitress if we could change the rice to cold soba. she mumbled abit and said can. she seemed like doesnt understand eng (think she's jap) well so we repeated ourselves. she said can. ok. when our food came, there were only cold soba!!! no set for us~ kaoz~
then my mgrs asked me to take ala cart buffet instead. but to ensure that there were only soba for us, we asked the waitress to tell us what were our order, was there anymore coming up. she couldnt tell us! then the mgr came, we asked the mgr if we (2 of my colls and me) could change to ala cart buffet instead of having the set and we would top up the difference since the one which my coll ordered can be found in the buffet the mgr said no. ok nvm.
den we told them we wanted tempura but prawns only so they don't have to waste the vegetables. the mgr also said cannot! we are trying to help by not wasting your food leh. in the end, we ordered 2 tempura and ate the prawns only. c! cannot understand y the mgr and the staffs are sooooooooooooo rigid leh. com'on rules are rules but can be flexible also right? you are not the only one in the service line. this is not the 1st time we heard complaints about this restaurant already but my mgrs tort i like sashimi so decided to give it a try since everything was hearsay only. but it turned out to be so true!
so hanabi! out of for me. this is just my personal view. maybe i suay or what lar that the floor staffs all bad mood and we kanna this. but still i tort there are still ALOT ALOT ALOT of rooms for improvement. lucky thing they nv take part in the GEMS thing, if not, i confirm complain all the way. haa.
btw, their sashimi is great. fresh. but the soba not that gd. tort the soup base was abit bland and the soba was not smooth and chewy.

Wah come Odeon Towers never ask me along...kaoz. I tried the food there before leh, pretty ok leh.
